Welcome to Battlefield Apostolic Church in Springfield, Missouri. And welcome to our website. Whatever the reason you are here, we’re honored.
In August, 2012, we held our first service with our two sons, Daniel (16 years old) and David (15 years old). Our services were held at the Community Room, City Hall Plaza in the small community of Battlefield, Missouri.
We set up chairs and musical instruments for every service, took them down and packed them into a box trailer for nearly seven years. Our congregation grew with the anticipation of someday owning our own church building. In a miraculous financial blessing, Battlefield Apostolic Church was able to purchase our current location at 554 W. Walnut Lawn. Our first service was Dec 2, 2018. In March of 2019, the property was paid in full. A $1.2 million miracle. To God be the Glory!
Because our beginnings were in Battlefield, and all of our legal documents and entities were in the name of Battlefield Apostolic Church, and the name Battlefield is well-known in Springfield, (and since we just liked the name “Battlefield”), we kept our name.
We are a One-God, Jesus Name, Pentecostal church. We believe and preach the message of the Apostles’ doctrine, beginning in the Book of Acts and in the sub-sequent letters to the churches written by the Apostles. We believe in holiness and modesty. We teach purity within and without. We teach our men, ladies and young people to be separated from the world. We believe in anointed worship and powerful preaching. We believe in fervent prayer, being filled with the Holy Ghost on a daily basis. We are a 5 Star Church in Doctrine, Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship and Discipleship. Our congregation is diversified in ages, cultures and backgrounds. And we love it that way.
Some would say we’re old-fashioned, but we make no apologies. We are focused on preserving the old-time power of the Holy Ghost: preaching repentance and deliverance from sin and addictions, divine healing and the gifts of the Spirit in our services. We emphasize the power of the Word of God by hiding it in our hearts through bible teaching and bible quizzing.
It’s real. It’s real. I know it’s real. It’s this Pentecostal Blessing and I know, I know it’s real. We invite you come and experience an old-fashioned Pentecostal, Apostolic church service. There’s nothing like it! We hope to see you soon. May God bless you. Pastor and Sis. Forrest
